Harlech Triathlon Run Route

Map 

1. Leave transition using the exit in the corner of the field
2. Run past the Band hall and towards the tennis court
3. Follow the path right along the back of the tennis court
4. Turn left through the gate and over the railway line
5. Continue through the next gate until you reach the main road - turn right onto the footpath
6. Bear right onto the drive / track and follow this until you reach the gated railway crossing
7. Pass through the two gates to cross the railway line and follow the path to the left past the 17^th tee.
8. Follow the track up the hill and past the house (0.73 miles).  The track then narrows and passes over the dunes.   Please keep to the path – overtaking during this short section will be difficult.  The drop down onto the beach is at approximately 0.9 miles.
9. Turn left onto the beach and proceed to the coned turn around point at the Southern end of the beach.
10. Return along the beach until you reach the main beach access path – this will be clearly marked.  The total distance on the beach is approximately 1.5 miles.
11. Follow the footpath from beach to Beach Road car park.  Please take care at the crossing place for the golf course and when passing through the gateway at the end. 
12. Continue up Beach Road – keep to the left of the road at all times.  
13. Turn left into the School car park and follow the path through the school grounds
14. On reaching the far exit from the school, follow the marshal’s instructions to cross the main A496.  Turn right and continue along the pavement. 
15. Fork left onto Castle Hill 
16. About half way up Castle Hill take the right fork and continue up the hill until you reach the High Street
17. Turn left onto the High Street
18. At the cross roads turn left down the hill and then right into the finish line in Castle Square.  
19. Please continue through the taped / coned funnel and ensure that the timers have noted your number.  You will be presented with your medal at the finish line.
